| Super Bowl 2011 Preview |
|
The 2011 Super Bowl final features the classic sports final matchup of experience vs. inexperience. On the one hand, the Pittsburgh Steelers have dominated the NFL since the middle of the decade, winning two of a possible five Super Bowl titles, and seven overall in franchise history. On the other hand, the Green Bay Packers are cashing in on what looks to be the team's best chance at winning a Super Bowl title, in almost 15 years, as they haven't been a part of the festivities since 1996. This game is of great importance to both Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. For Roethlisberger, a Super Bowl victory would go a long way at both cementing himself as an elite quarterback in the NFL, as well as repairing a public image that has been in shambles the past few seasons. Conversely, for Aaron Rodgers, a Super Bowl victory would go a long way in silencing the critics in Green Bay as he tries to fill the shoes of future hall of famer Brett Favre. In order for Rodgers to have any chance at creating his own legacy in Green Bay, he will need to win the Super Bowl title on Sunday in Dallas. |
